Swinduro Kids - Ages, Events and Family Radness

Swinduro has an awesome family element to the proceedings; this year we aim to make it even better for you all in the family to head over to take part in Swinduro.

(all ages taken as of age on event date!)

If you are an “adult” and taking part in the Mighty Swinduro, or Swinduro this will absolutely allow you to join your kids in the specific event that they choose on either the Saturday or Sunday.

Lets start with enduro and work through each event so you can plan the days:

The Mighty Enduro (Saturday & Saturday Night)
This is a 16+ only event as it is over 12 stages, including night stages. (£45)

The Swinduro (Saturday)
Feedback from last year was that the kids over 10 fancied a little more to challenge them, so this year for those that are 10 or older (all ages taken as of age on event date!) are able to tackle the Swinduro. As parents/gaurdians you can must accompany those aged between 10 and 13 and you will be tackling the 8 stage enduro.

Those U18 (14-17 year olds) are also able to tackle the Swinduro, and you are more than welcome to accompany these riders. 14 & 15 year olds require accompanying unless they are very experienced and you sign to say they are experienced to tackle the event.

In brief:

  • age 10 -13 - must be accompanied (£20 parents free (if you do not wish to gain a time)

  • ages 14 & 15 - require accompanying unless signed out to ride as a group as experienced riders (£20 parents free (if you do not wish to gain a time)

  • 16- 18 - do not require to be accompanied (£20 parents free (if you do not wish to gain a time)

On EITHER the Mighty or Swinduro if you have a kid riding and would like to be riding together and you are say in a masters age cat or a fun cat (examples…any category holds true), then do not worry, you can ride together no problems. Both of your times will be registered in the appropriate category - do not worry, please do ride together!

The Kids Swinduro (Saturday)
This is aimed at getting as many kids into cycling as possible so there are 2 categories - ages 8 -10 and U8’s. Both require accompanying around the 5km course that will hold 3 lovely mixed stages.

  • U8’s - must be accompanied (£15 parents free (if you do not wish to gain a time)

  • U10’s - must be accompanied (15 parents free (if you do not wish to gain a time)

Its awesome if you are reading this as it means you will be heading outside as a family - this is brilliant, please let us know at events@swinleybikehub.com if you have any questions.
